Politics for Tomorrow: Sabine Junginger and Caroline Paulick-Thiel have written a nice intro to the concept of exnovation.
Exnovation is the necessary counterbalance to innovation. It is characterized by the deconstruction of systems, practices or technologies that are no longer effective or in line with strategic development.
The concept of exnovation is crucial for the design of mission-oriented transformation. Yet despite its central role, exnovation often remains a blind spot in current innovation efforts.Ecochallenge: Good explainer of the iceberg model, applied to an instance of catching a cold.

3. Levels of org effectiveness advisory
Bülent has been working on crystallizing a model for advising organizations to become more effective, inspired by the recent Global Team Coaching Institute program he graduated, the Viable Systems Model and the Patterns of Strategy concepts.
In summary, it describes where the advisory relationship focuses:
Inside the organization, looking at the organizational units and their inter-relationships;
Inside the organization, looking at the organization as a whole, more than the sum of its parts;
Outside the organization, looking at how the organization is connected with its wider systemic contexts;
Outside the organization, looking at how the organization navigates its environment, co-evolving with other interconnected actors.
It’s work in progress and feedback is very welcome. Join the discussion here:
